What if the plugin reports a 400 error?

Question:

I want to transfer data but the plugin says something like

[ERROR] Calling Rest API failed

or

Failed : HTTP error code : 400

How may I resolve that?

Answer:

This is caused by the Check-verb, when there are no legal settings given for the project the check shall be performed for.

Please note, that with v0.1.7 wet added the capability to provide a legal check and break the build depending on the check results maven plugin. So it may first scan the data, transfer the scan, receive the scan ID and then check the scan result for legal issues and break the build, if there are some findings.

The error happens in in v0.1.7 of the plugin only. v0.1.8 will handle the exception and return a clear advice.

However, to resolve the issue, you once need to complete the legal questionnaire of project and corresponding module. As soon as the context is available, the 400 will disappear.
