Q: Is a copyright notice equivalent to a copyright owner’s name?

A: No!
- According to the Universal Copyright Convention, a copyright notice contains three elements;
1) the symbol © (or the word "Copyright") ,
2) the copyright owner's name, and
3) the year of first publication.
- e.g. © Linux Foundation 2020
- The publish year of a revised work may be added to the end of the original year.
- e.g. © Linux Foundation 2018-2020
