Given you want to make use of tags for selection, sorting or cost reporting, it may be useful to add a huge amount of predefined tags, e.g. cost centers, project names or business unit identifiers.
Go to > ADMINISTRATION > TEMPLATES and select the tile "Company Tags"
To allow the import of such a list, we allow to upload a CSV file. The structure of the CSV file must comply the following schema:
Name;Description
somename; "this part symbolises the description"
The fields do have the following meaning:
Name | The tag, as it will be displayed and referenced |
Description | Name of the user as it will appear in the application, may contain blanks. |
The CSV must comply with the following requirements:
- be smaller than 1MB,
- the first line must contain the field names as shown in above table on the left side (PLEASE NOTE: the import handles column names case sensitive!)
- different columns must be separated by semicolon,
- empty fields are allowed but number of semicolons must be consistent,
- the lines must be terminated by paragraph.
After having specified the file, you may try to import it using the blue button below the file picker. This will simulate the import and provide you with the results you may expect while using that file.
In the list on the left you may see the result of each individual line, allowing you to verify and/or fix the CSV line by line. Successfully imported tags will show the "imported" value when new.
You may then decide to discard the CSV and upload a fixed version instead or continue the processing by pressing the blue button again. Below image shows the situation after a successful import.
